A large progressive automotive manufacturer based in the North of England had identified the need to control its point of use consumables through vending in 2002.
As a result the Company procured a line side vending machine to combat spiraling spend.
Whilst providing a level of control, the system was fraught with reliability issues and was prone to drawer jamming and users being able to remove more items than they were entitled to.
As a result, system versus physical stocks were continually inaccurate and on occasion caused loss of production due to basic operator consumables such as gloves not being available.
Propeller was asked to provide an alternative solution that met the needs for greater security, reduced spend and improved reliability.
Propeller replaced the legacy hardware with the Pro-Vyda vending solution.
In addition to significantly reduced footprint, the Pro-Vyda proved to be incredibly robust and reliable.
